Don’t “Fall” for sweet treats!

Now that Fall is in full swing, there are several Holidays fast approaching.  Unfortunately, the Holidays bring with them many temptations that can wreak havoc on dental work.  Trick or treat happens in many areas with Halloween on Wednesday.  Obviously there is no shortage of sticky, sweet, gooey treats readily available after a night of trick or treating.  Parents, make sure to inspect your children’s treats and make sure they are safe and age appropriate.  Also, resist the urge to indulge in the kids’ hard or sticky treats, especially if you have any susceptible dental work, such as a temporary crown.  Rest assured that if you do have an unfortunate occurrence such as a broken tooth or crown off, Douglas Dental is available for dental emergencies.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s all bring their own set of temptations.  Your teeth and even your waistline will benefit from some restraint this Holiday Season.  Also remember that Electric toothbrushes and tooth whitening kits make great Holiday gifts or stocking stuffers!  We always have these products available.

Douglas Dental, your Des Moines Dentist, wishes you all a great Fall and Holiday Season!
